Wheat Puttu/ Godhumai Puttu
Ingredients :
Eastern Puttu podi - 2 cups
Warm water - 1/4 cup (extra if you need)
Salt - as you need
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Naatu sakarai - 1tsp
Banana - 1
Method
🥥 Take a big bowl and add puttu podi and salt and mix
🥥 Gradually add water and crumble the flour
🥥 Make a moist flour when you crumble, the flour should hold the shape when press inbetween. Leave the flour for 10 mins
🥥 Add the grated coconut and mix it well
🥥 Now take a idly pot and add water and place the second idly plate, let it boil
🥥 Meanwhile take a white muslin cloth and just wash it and squeeze the water and add the mixed puttu flour and close the cloth and carefully place it in the idly pot
🥥 Steam for 15 to 20mins in medium flame..
🥥 Once it's done just transfer to another vessel and gently mix it..
🥥 Add Naatu sakarai or coconut milk or banana and serve hot
