Chinna Vengaya Poondu Kulambu / Puli Kulambu
Ingredients
Sambar onion /Shallots - 10
Garlic - 15
Tomato -1 (small)
Tamarind juice -1/4cup (thick)
Turmeric powder -1/4tsp
Chilly powder - 1tsp
Corriander powder - 1/2tsp
Kulambu powder - 2tsp
Jaggery - 1small piece
For tempering :
Gingely oil /Nalennai - 3tbsp
Mustard seeds -1/4tsp
Urad dhall - 1/2tsp
Fenugreek -1/8tsp
Curry leaves - 1sprig
Method :
🔸Take a kadaai (I used iron kadaai) add oil, mustard seed,urad dhall, Fenugreek seeds,cury leaves and let it temper
🔸Add the onions and garlic and saute for 2mins and add the tomato and saute
🔸Now add all the masala powders (for kulambu powder I used aachi masala) and add the tamarind juice and mix well
🔸You can add extra water and let it cook well and bubbles will come from kulambu,adjust the consistency (it will be thick )
🔸Finally add the small piece of Jaggery, it will give extra flavour to the kulambu
