 Sodhi for Idiyappam 



Ingredients 

Potato - 1big 

Green peas - 1/4cup


Ingredients for grinding

Oil - 2tsp

Cinnamon - 1 small piece

Cardamom - 2

Cloves -2

Stone flower (Kalpasi)  - 2

Onion - 1big (roughly chopped)

Tomato - 1big (roughly chopped) 

Green chilly -2

Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup


For tempering 

Oil - 2tbsp

Bay leaves - 1


Other ingredients 

Onion-1 (thinly sliced) 

Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp

Chilly powder - 1tsp

Corriander powder - 1.5tsp

Salt - as you need 

Corriander leaves for garnish 

Curry leaves for garnish 


Method :


📍First cut the potato into small cubes and wash it, add 2 cups of water in a bowl and add the potato & green peas together and cook untill get soft


📍Take a pan and add oil and add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, stone flower let it temper, add onion & saute till transulcent add the green chilly, add tomato untill get soft, now add the coconut and saute for 2mins 


📍Let it cool completely and grind it to a fine paste 


📍Now take the same pan and add oil and bay leaves then add onion,curry leaves & saute for 2mins,add the ginger garlic paste and saute 


📍Add the cooked potato and green peas and saute for a minute 


📍Add the chilly powder,corriander powder and pour one cup of water and add salt 


📍Now add the grounded paste and add water & adjust the consistency 


📍Close the lid and wait for 5-10minutes and finally garnish with corriander leaves
