Green Peas Masala / Patchai Pattani Masala
Green Peas Masala
Onion - 1 (thinly sliced)
Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger Garlic paste - 1tsp
Green chilly - 2
Chicken masala - 1/2tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
Besan flour/gram flour- 1tbsp
Water - 1/2cup
Salt - as you needed
Curry leaves - 1sprig
For temper
Oil - 1tbsp
Cinnamon - 1stick
Cloves - 2
Fennel seeds - 1/2tsp
Kalpasi - 1/2tsp
Method
🔹Soak the peas over night or 8 hours
🔹Pressure cook the peas with 4 whistle.
🔹Take kadaai and add oil, cinnamon,cloves,fennel seeds, Kalpasi let it temper.
🔹Now add the sliced onions and green chilly saute for 2mins and add Ginger garlic paste and saute untill raw smell goes off.
🔹Add tomato and it should be soft and mushy. Now add the turmeric powder and salt
🔹After that add the cooked green peas ,chicken masala and add water and let it cook for another 2mins
🔹Meanwhile dilute the besan flour with water without any lumps
🔹Finally add the diluted besan Flour and mix it and cook for 1minute and garnish with curry leaves
Notes
* You can add one potato with this pattani masala, the taste will be good
* Use dry green peas,don't use fresh one..
* Do not over cook the masala after adding besan flour
