Prawn Masala / இறால் மசாலா
Ingredients
Prawns - 500gm
Oil- 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4tsp
Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Chilly powder -1tsp
Curry leaves - 1sprig
For grinding :
Oil-1tsp
Cinnamon - 1stick
Cardamom -2
Cloves -2
Pepper - 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
Small onion/shallots- 10
For marination :
Salt - 1/4tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
Chilly powder - 1/2tsp
Preparation :
🔸First clean the prawns and remove the vein completely, Add salt,turmeric,chilly powder and marinate for 30mins
🔸Take a wide pan and add oil, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, pepper, cumin seeds,onion and saute well in the low flame, once its cool down completely grind it fine paste
🔸In the same pan add oil and prawns,ginger garlic paste and saute till the prawns remove the water, don't over cook the prawn,
🔸Just strain the water and keep aside
🔸Take a pan and add 1.5tbsp oil and add cumin seeds and let it temper and add the finely chopped onion and saute untill it's turn light brown colour
🔸Now add the grinded paste and chilly powder & saute for 5mins, then add the prawns and cook for another 5mins..
🔸Finally garnish with curry leaves
Note :
** Don't over cook the prawns
** Adjust the spicy level
