Thakkali Thokku / Tomato Thokku

Thakkali Thokku  Ingredients  Tomato - 1kg (finely chopped/puree )  Tamarind - goospery size Garlic - 15 (peeled and sliced) Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp Kashmiri chilly powder - 2tbsp Gingely oil - 6tbsp Mustard seeds-1tsp Urad dhall - 1tsp  Curry leaves - 1sprig Fenugreek powder - 1/2tsp Mustard seed powder - 1tsp Jaggery - 1tsp Salt - as you needed Preparation : 🔹Take heavy bottomed wide pan and add Gingely oil,once it's hot add mustard seeds and urad dhall let it temper and add garlic  🔹Then add the finely chopped tomatos  and let it cook well, soft and mushy paste 🔹The tomato release some water, so no need to add extra water. Now add turmeric powder and Kashmir chilly powder and mix well 🔹Once the water reduced from tomato add the tamarind juice.  🔹After 5mins add the Fenugreek powder and mustard seed powder,salt and mix it with tomato and close the pan with lid and wait for another 10mins (medium flame)  🔹Now add  Jaggery and curry l...

Green Bean Curry

Green Bean curry Ingredients   Fresh Green beans-250gm  Shallots- 6  Garlic - 3 Green chilly - 3 Oil - 2tbsp Mustard seeds - 1/4tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp Chilly powder - 1/2tsp Coconut milk thick - 1/4cup Coconut milk thin - 1cup Salt - as needed Curry leaves - 1sprig Method:    🔹 First wash the  Beans and cut them as slight angle and keep aside 🔹Add oil in a pan and add mustard seeds let it temper, and add small onion, garlic and saute well 🔹Now add the beans and saute it for 2mins and add salt,turmeric powder and chilly powder.  🔹Pour the thin coconut milk and mix well with beans and close with lid (simmer) 🔹Make sure to give a stir the beans until it cooked  🔹Once beans cooked add the thick coconut milk and cook for another 2mins  🔹Finally garnish with curry leaves

Arachuvitta Sambar Ingredients  - 1 Corriander seeds - 2tbsp Chana dhall - 1tbsp Toor dhall - 1tsp Urad dhall - 1tsp Jeera -1/2tsp Pepper - 1/2tsp Fenugreek -1/2tsp Kashmiri chilly - 3 While red chilly - 7 Ingredients -2 Toor dhall -1/2 cup Drumstick - 2 Sambar onion -10 Tomato -1 Tamarind juice - 1/4cup Oil-2tsp Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp Urad dhall -1/2tsp Fenugreek seeds -1/8tsp Salt - as needed Curry leaves and corriander leaves for garnish  Method : 🔹First soak the toor dhall atleast 20mins  and pressure cook for 4 whistle and keep aside 🔹Now dry roast under ingredients-1, once it's completely cool down and make a fine powder  🔹In kadaai add oil,mustard seeds, urad dhall,mustard seeds and let it temper. 🔹Then add onion and saute it well then add tomato and saute for 2mins  🔹Now add the drumstick pieces and saute for 2mins  and add 2tbsp freshly grounded masala and add water,add salt  🔹once drumsticks cooked, pour tamarind juice and let it get bu...

Chicken Semi Gravy  Ingredients   Chicken - 500gm (I used chicken breast)  Onion - 1big (finely chopped)  Tomato - 1 medium (finely chopped) Ginger Garlic paste  -1tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp Chilly powder - 1tsp Corriander powder - 1.5tsp Garam masala-1/2tsp Oil - 2tbsp Curry leaves - 1 sprig Corriander leaves - few For temper    Cinnamon - 1stick Cardamom - 2 Cloves - 3 Fennel seeds-1/4tsp Method : 🔹First clean the chicken and keep aside  🔹Take a pan and add oil and cinnamon, cardamom, cloves,fennel seeds and let it temper  🔹Then add the finely chopped onions and saute well.  Wait until onion will get light brown colour and add the Ginger garlic paste and saute it until the raw smell goes of.. 🔹Now add the turmeric powder, chilly powder, corriander powder, Garam masala and give a quick saute  🔹Add the tomato and let it mushy and mushy(add little water otherwise the masala will burn)  🔹After that add the chicken and mi...

Flax seeds Bread  Ingredients   Wheat flour - 2cups All purpose flour - 1/2cup Salt - 1/4tsp Flax seeds - 1tsp Oil - 1/4cup Warm milk - 1cup Sugar - 1tbsp Yeast - 2tsp Method : 🔹First pour the Luke warm milk in bowl and sugar & yeast and mix well. Wait for 10mins, Let it raise  🔹Then add the flour, salt, flax seeds,oil and make a dough  🔹Knead the dough Atleast 10-12minutes 🔹Cover them and let's wait for 30mins to raise the dough 🔹After one hour knead the dough for a minute and make a cylinderical shape and put them in loaf pan and let's wait for another 15mins 🔹Brush  some milk  on the top of the dough 🔹Preheat the oven in 190C and bake the bread for 30mins 🔹Once taken out from oven apply some butter on the top  🔹Let's cool completely and cut them a slice
